On a secluded peninsula surrounded by water and natural landscape, Peninsula Stone House takes shape as a sculptural waterfront residence in Elektrėnai, Lithuania. The arrangement of the house is shaped by the geometry and possibilities of the site. Along the shared access road, a sequence of solid walls forms a protective outer shell, giving the residence privacy and a strong sculptural presence. The shell was conceived in locally sourced, roughly hewn stone masonry, introducing a sense of weight, permanence and vernacular connection without imitating traditional architecture. Towards the water, the character of the house changes completely. The heavy stone enclosure gives way to expansive floor-to-ceiling glazing, opening the living spaces to uninterrupted views of the lagoon and surrounding landscape. The architecture is defined by this transition—from protection to openness, from material weight to near transparency.

A heavy stone shell opens into transparency, framing life between water and landscape.
