The warmth, freedom and expressive design of the 1960s find a contemporary interpretation in this private office in Kaunas, Lithuania. Rather than recreating a period interior, the project brings its spirit into a clear, functional working environment. Walnut-toned finishes, a restrained palette and the rhythm of a ceiling grid establish an architectural framework for a more expressive collection of furniture, lighting and art. Sculptural silhouettes, vivid colour accents, chrome details and patterned rugs give the rooms their individual character. Selected for their distinctive forms, these objects become integral to the composition rather than decorative additions, introducing a sense of creativity and bohemian ease. Bespoke joinery integrates everyday functions, while the surrounding finishes remain deliberately understated. The result is a workplace where modernist references and contemporary spatial clarity coexist—personal, expressive and composed around the objects that inhabit it.
