ZEN House Interior Design

Life among the pines shapes the interior design of ZEN House, a private residence in Vilnius, Lithuania. Open sightlines and gentle transitions connect the main living spaces, allowing the surrounding forest to become part of everyday life. The interior unfolds through changes in proportion and scale. The generous height of the living area creates openness, while low furniture and timber surfaces bring a sense of intimacy. Spaces retain their individual character within a continuous composition, with views extending between them and out towards the trees. Slender timber screens filter daylight while preserving visual connections with the landscape. Their vertical rhythm echoes the surrounding pines, adding depth to the expansive glazing and softening the boundary between inside and outside. Timber, stone and textured plaster carry a consistent material language through the house. Bespoke elements are integrated into this setting, supporting the ease of movement and use. Calm emerges through the continuity of the spaces, the changing light and the constant presence of the forest.
